Our Terms and Conditions

In order for you to get the very best from your stay at Casa Verde Alpine Retreat, and ensure our facility is keep in immaculate cv-close.jpgcondition, we've put together our Terms and Conditions which we encourage you to read before confirming your booking.

Payment

  • Payment of deposit or total fee for your booking indicates acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.
  • Payment will be made by direct debit into our bank account or credit card (2% surcharge applies).  
  • A deposit of 50% of our total fee is required to confirm your booking if you book more than 6 weeks prior to your arrival.
  • The balance of payment will be charged to the same credit card that was used to pay the deposit (unless we are informed otherwise), 14 (or for peak periods, 30) days prior to your arrival.  If bank deposit, please ensure payment is made by such date.
  • If you book less than 3 weeks prior to your arrival, the total fee must be paid to confirm your booking.
  • Seven consecutive nights in the one property will be charged at the discounted rate of one week.

Cancellation

  • If you cancel or reschedule your booking less than 6 weeks prior to the scheduled commencement of your stay,   your deposit will not be refundable if, after making all reasonable efforts to do so, we are unable to obtain an alternative booking of equal value.  A minimum $50 cancellation fee will apply to all cancellations.
  • Once full payment is made, no refunds will be given.
  • Security for payments required under these terms and conditions must be provided by credit card.  
  • Invoices are issued, and payment must be made in Australian dollars.
  • By making payment of the total fee, you have an exclusive license to occupy (but not possess) the property for the days specified when you book .

House Rules


To maintain our excellent standard for all our guests, we require certain contitions to be complied with.  We appreciate most will respect our property, but to avoid any abuse, we clearly state the following conditions: 

  • Smoking is not permitted inside the villa.  The verandah, back and front, may be used for smoking provided doors to the house are closed.  There are butt containers on front and rear decks. 
  • Number of Guests should not exceed the number stated on the Confirmation Notice or subsequently agreed in writing or email.  Fees will apply for excess guests not agreed with the owners in advance.
  • Parties and Functions are strictly prohibited. The price charged is for domestic use only and not commercial. Accordingly this rate does not allow for the extra wear associated with functions in terms of cleaning, garbage removal, wear and tear, repairs etc. Use contrary to this may result in loss of your bond and/or additional payments.
  • You will agree to any other reasonable house rules which may be made available to you at the property.
  •  All guests are expected to behave in a manner that does not cause distress to our neighbours or interfere in any way with their right to enjoy their properties. We reserve the right to remove guests who do not adhere to this code of behaviour. In these cases, no refund will be due, and we will not be responsible for finding or funding alternate accommodation, nor will we be responsible for any other associated costs.
  • Children are to be supervised at all times.  Be aware, whilst the bush is a wonderful place, there are dangers within it, especially in summer.
  • Guests may not engage in any illegal activity at the property.
  • Linen is supplied and is required to be left in appropriate condition.
  • Pets are strictly forbidden as the property is in a Wilderness area closeby a National Park. Domestic animals can disturb natural habitat areas for wildlife.


Check In and Check Out


Check In and Check Out procedures will be detailed in the Arrival Information package forwarded to you following payment of deposit.  Whilst we are more than happy to provide early Check In and late Check Out wherever possible, this can only be confirmed at the last minute as it is dependent on other bookings at the time. Failure to adhere to those procedures could result in the incurring of additional costs.

Breakages and Losses

  • Whilst you are our guest, we ask that you look after the property as if it were your own.  The owners have put a lot of love plus time and effort (and expense!) in preparing the property as a delightful accommodation venue to ensure all our guests comfort and enjoyment.  Hence we request that you report any breakages or maintenance issues immediately so as we can attend to it prior to the next guest's arriving.  We are unlikely to ask for reimbursement for small accidental damage or normal wear and tear.  However, for other damage or loss to the property, garden or contents, charges will be made using the credit card provided for payment (or left for security).
  • When departing, we appreciate you leaving the villa neat and tidy.  Cleaning services are included in your rates.  For stays longer than a week, there will be interim cleaning services.  This will be detailed in your pre arrival information.  Guests are expected to leave the property in a condition that does not require extensive, excessive cleaning.  You are responsible for all cleaning charges in the event that the property is left in a state that requires more than reasonable cleaning.  This will be charged for using the credit card provided for payment (or left for security).
  • The owners of the property are not liable for loss to you of any personal belongings while you are in the property.

Complaints


You should not wait until you return home before complaining about any matter as no inspection can be carried out when others are occupying the property.  We welcome hearing from you in relation to any complaints or concerns and prefer that you phone us immediately so that matters can be resolved quickly. 

Termination


Your occupation of the property may be terminated by us without notice in the event that you breach any material term or condition or in the event that any amount due is not paid.

Disclaimer

  • The owner of the property cannot be held responsible for failure or interruption to power or services to the property for reasons beyond our control.
  • The property owners cannot be held responsible for any injury or damage caused to guests due to their own personal actions. 
  • To the fullest extent permitted by law, the owner disclaims all warranties in relation to the provision of services and the use of the property, and otherwise our liability is limited at our option to the supply of the relevant services again or the payment of the cost of having services supplied again.
  • The owners are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special and/or consequential damage or loss of profits which result from use of the property and services provided to you.
  • The owners are not liable for any loss of personal property whilst guests are staying at the property.
  • We advise that the property is situated in a natural wilderness environment which inherently contains species which may pose potential risks to personal safety.  Guests enter this environment at their own risk.  The owners will not be held responsible or liable for any injfury, illness or accident caused due to such environment.  Guest with any health issues which may be exacerbated by this environment should take extra caution.
  • Variations to these conditions may only be made by prior arrangements with the owner in writing.
