Cradle Mountain Country

Casa Verde Alpine Reteat is just a 20 minute drive away from the spectacular Cradle Mountain/Lake St Clair National Park.

There are dozens of short and long walks and hikes throughout this unique area.  The most popular is the superb boardwalked 6km track around Dove Lake which takes you directly under Cradle Mountain.  You will see prime examples of a variety of native flora as you wander through different mini ecosystems, each responding in its own way to the extremeties of this harsh alpine climate.

Experienced bushwalkers come to Cradle to walk the famous Overland Track where you can spend days traversing the many trails or maybe just a one day hike is all you have time for.
