Our Facilities

At Casa Verde Alpine Retreat we're very proud of our newly completed property; which is a contemporary, stylish, alpine villa, fully self-contained and private - your very own escape from the world.

As we live in an environmentally sensitive and vulnerable area, we have created our villa with a strong emphasis on sustainabity. We are committed to using water-wise practices as our only source of water is from the rain we receive. We recycle vegetable waste into our (offsite) worm-farm. Paper, cans, bottles and plastics are also recycled. We are also committed to maintaining a native wildlife area and for this reason pets are not welcome.

Situated just 20 minutes drive from the majestic Cradle Mountain, it is the closest (to Cradle) private, exclusive single premises, sited on 4.5 acres of beautiful native ferned forest. This means you have your very own sanctuary away from the world and the busyness of the tourist area.

Located on a major road, but sitting just far enough away to be private, you won't have to travel miles down dirt roads. Just 50 metres off the main road to our driveway.

Our 4.5 acre private ferned forest is your's for the period of your stay. You are the only folk there and you have access to wander through our property at your leisure. You'll be just amazed at the wonders you'll find.

The spacious living area and outdoor pergola and deck means you can lounge away hours just drinking in the beauty which surrounds you or watching the local wildlife when they come out to forage and play.

You might even get a welcome visit from Algenon, the friendly currawong who has adopted Casa Verde as home.

 Our extensively appointed kitchen facilities leave nothing to be desired; Spacious and with all the equipment you'd need, mealtimes will be easy and comfortable. And you can enjoy a range of  condiments provided for your convenience.

The beautiful Asian inspired bedroom exudes tranquility and comfort. Elegantly furnished with wardrobe, bedside tables and a handmade chunky timber cabinet, there's plenty of space for your gear. And electric blankets and abundant blankets will keep you warm on those chillier nights.

Our cedar lined bathroom is complete with a bath-shower, toilet and handbasin for your convenience.  And the hand crafter leadlight mirror gives a little touch of class.

Housed within the bathroom are the laundry facilities - washing machine, trough and drier which make managing your laundry easy.

In addition to Casa Verde's self contained facilities, our guests can enjoy the benefits of fine dining just a little further along the road at Lemonthyme Lodge or up at the venues in the Cradle Mountain National Park.
